Secure Any Screen to Any Wall
TV wall mounts free up floor space, eliminate tipover risk, and position the screen at the ideal viewing height. Peerless-AV, Chief by Legrand, StarTech, Kanto, and Eaton mounts cover every VESA pattern from 100x100 through 600x400, supporting panel sizes from 13-inch kitchen displays to 90-inch commercial installations. Browse the full mounts and stands collection for monitor arms, ceiling mounts, and specialty mounting hardware.
TV Wall Mounts for Every Installation
- Living rooms and home theaters — full-motion Kanto PDX and Peerless-AV SmartMount articulating arms swivel toward seating areas and fold flat when not in use
- Bedrooms and guest rooms — tilting mounts angle the screen downward for comfortable viewing from bed without a bulky floor stand
- Conference rooms and huddle spaces — low-profile Chief fixed mounts keep large displays flush against the wall for a clean, professional appearance
- Restaurants and retail signage — commercial-grade mounts with security hardware prevent theft and tampering in public locations
- Above-fireplace installations — pull-down or tilting mounts from Peerless-AV and Kanto lower the screen to eye level from high placements
Choosing the Right TV Wall Mount
Every mount decision starts with three numbers: VESA hole pattern, screen weight, and wall type. VESA is the bolt spacing on the back of the TV in millimeters, with common patterns including 200x200 for 32-to-43-inch panels, 400x400 for most 50-to-65-inch sets, and 600x400 for large-format 75-to-90-inch displays. Always verify the spec label or measure bolt holes before ordering, and choose a mount rated for at least 1.5 times the TV's weight. Fixed mounts hold the panel under one inch from the wall, tilting mounts add 5 to 15 degrees of downward angle, and full-motion articulating mounts extend on a swing arm for swivel, tilt, and extension.
Wall Construction and Anchoring
Wood-stud walls on 16-inch centers are the most common residential scenario and support nearly any mount using lag bolts. Walls framed on 24-inch centers may require wider stud-spanning brackets or a universal mounting plate. Concrete, cinder block, and brick walls need masonry anchors rated for the total load. For commercial display installations on metal studs, toggle bolts or specialized metal-stud anchors are required. A stud finder, level, drill, socket wrench, and pencil make up the basic tool kit for most residential installs.
