The Aiphone LE-D is a surface-mount audio door station that provides hands-free two-way communication between an entry point and any LEF or LEM series master station. When a visitor presses the call button on the LE-D, the connected master station rings and the operator can respond hands-free without pressing any button, keeping the conversation open for the duration of the call. The IP43-rated ABS plastic enclosure handles sheltered outdoor installations such as covered entryways, vestibules, and building overhangs where direct rain exposure is limited. The LE-D surface-mounts to a wall or standard 1-gang electrical box for fast installation in building security and access control systems.
The LE-D connects to the master station with a simple 2-conductor wire run, making it one of the most straightforward intercom door stations to install in the Aiphone analog lineup. There is no separate power supply required at the door station since it draws power from the master station over the same 2-wire connection. The compact form factor and neutral design keep the unit unobtrusive at entry points, and the built-in speaker and microphone deliver clear voice communication at typical door-to-desk distances.
