The Ubiquiti UniFi SmartPower Strip (USP-STRIP) is a WiFi-connected power strip that monitors internet connectivity through the UniFi Network application and automatically power-cycles connected devices when it detects a connection dropout. Six 125V AC outlets and four USB-C charging ports provide power for modems, ONTs, routers, and other network equipment, while 24kA surge protection shields connected hardware from electrical spikes. The magnetic base mounts to metal surfaces for clean installation behind racks, desks, or network enclosures.
Unlike a standard surge protector, the SmartPower Strip integrates with UniFi Network to provide remote outlet control, per-outlet power monitoring, and automated recovery that eliminates manual power cycling for connectivity issues. When the UniFi app detects an internet outage, it momentarily cuts power to the connected modem or ONT and restarts it, resolving the majority of ISP-side connection drops that would otherwise require a truck roll or a phone call to someone on-site.
