Engineered for All-Day Comfort and Precision Control
Kensington mice and trackballs are engineered to keep wrists neutral, reduce forearm fatigue, and deliver pixel-precise cursor control across multi-monitor workstations, backed by over 40 years of ergonomic input device design. The lineup includes trackballs, vertical mice, wireless Bluetooth models, and ambidextrous compact mice across the broader Kensington ecosystem of privacy screens, docking stations, and security accessories. Kensington Mice for Every Workflow
- Ergonomic and accessibility deployments — HR teams and occupational health specialists deploy Kensington Pro Fit Ergo vertical mice and Expert Mouse trackballs to reduce repetitive strain injuries and accommodate employees with limited hand mobility or carpal tunnel syndrome
- Multi-monitor and CAD workstations — the Expert Mouse trackball and SlimBlade Pro offer high-DPI tracking that moves a cursor smoothly across two, three, or four screens without the desk space a traditional mouse requires
- Shared and hot-desk environments — ambidextrous Kensington mice work equally well for left- and right-handed users, making them the preferred choice for shared workstations in call centers, labs, and libraries
- Travel and mobile use — compact wireless Kensington mice with Bluetooth and nano-receiver connectivity fit in a laptop bag and pair instantly with Windows, macOS, and Chrome OS devices
- Healthcare and cleanroom settings — trackballs eliminate the need to move the device across a surface, making them ideal for tight workspaces like nursing stations and anywhere a smooth, cleanable desk surface matters
Choosing the Right Kensington Mouse
Kensington divides its mouse lineup into four distinct categories, and selecting the right one starts with how you interact with your computer and what physical constraints you face. The Expert Mouse and SlimBlade Pro trackballs feature large ball bearings that users spin with fingertips or palm, keeping the forearm and wrist completely stationary. The Pro Fit Ergo vertical mice position the hand in a natural handshake grip that reduces pronation. Dual-mode wireless mice connect via Bluetooth or a 2.4 GHz nano USB receiver. Ambidextrous compact mice are designed for shared environments where left- and right-handed users alternate at the same workstation.
Trackballs vs. Vertical Mice
Trackballs keep the entire hand and forearm stationary while the thumb or fingers control a ball to move the cursor. Vertical mice still require moving the device across the desk but position the hand at a natural angle that reduces the inward forearm twist responsible for much of the strain associated with flat mice. Trackballs are the better choice for confined desk spaces and severe wrist pain, while vertical mice suit users who prefer the familiar motion of moving a mouse.
Wireless Connectivity
Kensington offers dual-mode wireless mice that connect via Bluetooth or a 2.4 GHz nano USB receiver. Bluetooth removes the need for any receiver and is standard on most current models. The nano receiver option provides a lag-free connection at the desk. Many models support both simultaneously, letting you dedicate one connection type to your desktop and another to a laptop or tablet.
