Know Exactly How Much Power Your Rack Draws
The APC AP7801B is a metered rack power distribution unit that gives a server rack eight outlets and a real-time readout of the current flowing through them. A local digital meter shows the load at a glance, so you can add equipment without guessing how close the circuit is to its 20-amp limit. The 1U horizontal chassis fits standard racks and mounts tool-free, distributing 120V power to servers, switches, and other rack gear. Explore more Schneider Electric gear or other PDUs.
How It Works
Power comes in through a 12-foot cord with a NEMA L5-20P plug that connects to a UPS, generator, or wall circuit, and goes out to eight NEMA 5-20R outlets rated for 20 amps at 120 volts, a full 1920 VA of capacity. The built-in digital ammeter reads total load in real time so you can balance equipment across circuits and avoid tripping a breaker. The unit installs horizontally in 1U of a standard rack using the included toolless mounting hardware, and a cord retention bracket keeps the input plug seated so a bumped cable does not drop the whole rack.
