The 2U chassis mounts in a rack or stands upright on the included tower feet, and NEMA 5-15P input feeds eight 5-15R outlets split into two switchable groups for granular load control. Built-in SmartConnect delivers cloud monitoring, firmware updates, and proactive email alerts through the Ethernet port, while a SmartSlot accepts an optional Network Management Card for PowerChute graceful shutdown of servers, VMs, and HCI clusters. Automatic Voltage Regulation corrects voltage swings without draining the battery, and up to five SMX48RMBP2U external battery packs extend runtime for longer outages.
