OLED Black Levels and 240Hz Speed for Competitive Play
A 27-inch 1440p OLED panel, a 240Hz refresh rate, and a 0.03ms gray-to-gray response put the Asus ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM among the fastest monitors you can buy. OLED pixels light themselves, so blacks go fully dark and colors stay vivid at any brightness, with a peak of 1000 nits for HDR highlights. A custom heatsink and voltage optimization work to guard the panel against burn-in over long sessions. Browse more Asus gear or other computer monitors.
How It Works
Because each OLED pixel produces its own light, the PG27AQDM switches individual pixels fully off for true black instead of dimming a backlight, which gives a 1,500,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and detail that holds up in the darkest scenes. The 240Hz refresh rate paired with the 0.03ms response keeps fast motion sharp and free of ghosting, and FreeSync Premium with G-Sync Compatible support ties frame delivery to your GPU so there is no tearing. Inside, a large custom heatsink, improved airflow, and intelligent per-pixel voltage optimization draw heat away from the panel to reduce burn-in risk, running about 5 percent cooler while pushing 17 percent more brightness than the previous OLED generation. A DisplayPort input carries the full 240Hz, HDMI handles consoles and Blu-ray players, and the DisplayWidget Center app adjusts settings with a mouse instead of the on-screen menu.
