How much usable storage do you get with the 16TB (2x8TB) model?
The TeraStation 3230DN ships as 16TB of raw capacity across two 8TB drives. In the default mirrored RAID 1 setup, one drive mirrors the other, giving you 8TB of usable, protected storage that survives a single drive failure without data loss. If you would rather have maximum space than redundancy, RAID 0 or JBOD makes the full 16TB available. You choose the mode during setup to match how you weigh capacity against protection.
