One HDMI input, eight matched outputs, and full HDMI 2.0 bandwidth at 600 MHz put the Gefen EXT-UHD600-18 at the center of a serious 4K distribution system. It sends a single source to eight displays at 4K 60Hz with 4:4:4 color, HDR, and HDCP 2.2, up to 4096 x 2160 DCI-Cinema resolution, while passing 7.1-channel LPCM and object-based audio like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X through untouched. Where It Fits
This splitter is built for large video distribution and digital signage, where one 4K source has to reach many screens at once, think retail and hospitality displays, corporate lobbies, houses of worship, and command centers. It cascades in multiple layers, so several EXT-UHD600-18 units chain together to drive up to hundreds of displays from a single feed. Gefen's Long Reach Power supplies extra current on two of the outputs, letting select HDMI extenders draw power over the cable instead of needing their own supply, which cuts down on hardware at the far end of a long run.
