The SonicWall TZ270 (02-SSC-6843) is a Gen 7 content filtering firewall that enforces web access policies across the network while providing full next-generation firewall security in a single desktop appliance. The 1-year TotalSecure Advanced Edition license includes Content Filtering Services with URL categorization across 56+ categories, allowing administrators to block access to malicious, inappropriate, or unproductive websites by category, schedule, or user group. Application Intelligence identifies and controls thousands of cloud and web applications, and DPI-SSL decrypts TLS 1.3 encrypted traffic to apply content policies to HTTPS sites that would otherwise bypass filtering.
The TZ270 is part of the SonicWall Gen 7 TZ Series running SonicOS 7.0 with eight Gigabit Ethernet ports, integrated SD-WAN, and Reassembly-Free Deep Packet Inspection. Beyond content filtering, the Advanced license adds Capture ATP with Real-Time Deep Memory Inspection (RTDMI) for cloud-based zero-day threat analysis and SonicWall Network Security Manager for centralized policy management. The compact 7.5 x 5.3 x 1.4-inch chassis deploys on a desk or shelf without rack space.
