The SonicWall TZ380 (03-SSC-1831) is a Gen 8 desktop network security appliance that delivers 3.5 Gbps firewall throughput, 2.0 Gbps IPS throughput, and 1.6 Gbps VPN throughput through eight GbE ports with multi-gig (5G/2.5G) support and two SFP expansion slots. Running SonicOS 8 with Reassembly-Free Deep Packet Inspection, Real-Time Deep Memory Inspection (RTDMI), gateway antivirus, intrusion prevention, application control, and TLS/SSL decryption, the TZ380 inspects every packet at wire speed without creating bottlenecks for small business and branch office networks that need enterprise-grade threat prevention in a compact desktop form factor.
The TZ380 includes Secure SD-WAN for replacing expensive MPLS circuits with broadband-based site-to-site connectivity, supporting up to 200 concurrent VPN tunnels for multi-site deployments. Built-in expandable storage and redundant power support keep the appliance running in always-on environments, while centralized management through SonicWall Network Security Manager (NSM) and Zero-Touch Deployment let IT teams configure and monitor TZ380 units across distributed locations without on-site visits. The SonicExpress mobile app provides single-device setup for smaller deployments where NSM is not required.
