RF Isolator Shield for NanoBeam 16 Antennas to Reduce Co-Location Interference
The Ubiquiti IsoBeam ISO-BEAM-16 is an RF isolator shield designed for NanoBeam 16 radios (NBE-M5-16 and NBE-5AC-16). It attaches around the NanoBeam's dish to block stray RF energy from adjacent radios, sectors, and other wireless equipment mounted nearby. In co-located tower and rooftop installations where multiple radios share the same structure, the IsoBeam reduces side-lobe interference and improves signal quality on the NanoBeam link.
The shield works by physically blocking off-axis RF energy that would otherwise enter the NanoBeam's antenna pattern from the sides and rear. This is particularly effective on towers and masts where sector antennas, other point-to-point radios, or cellular equipment operate within close proximity. The IsoBeam mounts directly to the NanoBeam 16 with the included IsoBeam Ring, requiring no tools or modifications to the radio.
