Processing Hub That Powers and Connects AI Theta Camera Lenses to UniFi Protect
The Ubiquiti UniFi AI Theta Hub is the processing unit at the center of every AI Theta camera deployment. It connects one video lens and one optional audio module, runs on-board AI analytics (face detection, license plate recognition, object classification), and feeds the processed video stream to UniFi Protect over a single PoE Ethernet connection.
The hub is what makes the AI Theta platform modular. Buy the hub once, then attach whichever lens fits the deployment: the wide-angle 110-degree lens for lobbies, the 50mm long-distance lens for entrances, or any future lens Ubiquiti releases. A 0.96-inch color display on the hub shows device status and basic configuration without needing to open the UniFi Protect dashboard.

- On-board AI processing: Runs face detection, license plate recognition, and person/vehicle classification locally. Events are tagged and searchable in Protect without consuming NVR CPU.
- 1 video + 1 audio port: Connects one AI Theta lens (Standard or Pro, wide-angle or long-distance) and one optional AI Theta Audio module for two-way communication.
- 0.96-inch color status display: Shows connection status, IP address, and basic device info without opening the Protect app. Useful during installation and troubleshooting.
- PoE powered, compact aluminum housing: Powers over a single Ethernet cable. Wall or ceiling mountable at 5.5 x 2.8 x 1.5 inches and 11.64 oz. Conceal it behind the lens or in a junction box.
