UniFi E7 Campus - Outdoor WiFi 7 Access Point for Long-Range Campus Coverage
The Ubiquiti E7 Campus is a WiFi 7 access point engineered for outdoor and long-range deployments. With 12 dBi directional antennas, IP67-rated weatherproofing, and coverage up to 5,000 ft² per unit, it is the Ubiquiti access point built to blanket campuses, parking lots, warehouses, and outdoor venues with enterprise-grade wireless.
Where the standard UniFi E7 targets indoor coverage zones, the E7 Campus is a fundamentally different product: directional antennas with 12 dBi gain on both 5 GHz and 6 GHz, PRISM active RF filtering that cuts through interference in crowded spectrum environments, and a UV-stabilized polycarbonate enclosure rated for -30°C to 60°C operation and 125 mph wind loading. This is outdoor infrastructure hardware, not a consumer product with a weatherproof case.
The E7 Campus joins the broader family of UniFi access points under the same UniFi Network software, so managing a mixed indoor/outdoor deployment is a single console, not two. 10 GbE uplink with a 1 GbE redundant port ensures throughput and failover for critical sites.
Who This Access Point Is For
- IT teams covering large campuses, parking lots, or outdoor event spaces who need 5,000 ft² per AP with directional beamforming to reach across open distance
- Property managers and WISP operators extending WiFi across warehouses, marinas, RV parks, stadiums, or multi-building facilities with a single coordinated UniFi deployment
- Government installations and NDAA-required deployments needing certified outdoor hardware that handles extreme temperatures and weather
Good to Know Before You Buy
- Built for outdoors: IPX6 weatherproof out of the box, IP67 rated with the included waterproof door kit. The enclosure handles -30°C to 60°C (-22°F to 140°F) operating range and 125 mph winds, so installations in coastal, desert, or northern climates are no issue.
- Long-range by design: 12 dBi directional antennas on 5 GHz and 6 GHz focus the signal where you need coverage rather than radiating in all directions. This is how the E7 Campus reaches across parking lots, fields, and building-to-building distances that omnidirectional APs cannot.
- PRISM RF filtering: Active filtering on each band cuts interference from adjacent APs, cellular radios, and other 2.4/5/6 GHz sources. This is the difference between a clean link at 500 feet and a degraded link at 200 feet in congested environments.
- Mounting included: Articulating wall mount and pole mount (fits 1 to 2.5 inch poles) are in the box. VESA adapter available separately for structured installs.
Is the UniFi E7 Campus Worth It?
For outdoor and long-range wireless, the E7 Campus fills a role no other UniFi product covers at this specification. The U7 Outdoor and U7 Pro Outdoor handle point-of-use outdoor coverage with omnidirectional antennas, suitable for patios, poolside WiFi, or single-building perimeter. The E7 Campus is positioned above that tier: 10-stream WiFi 7, directional beamforming, PRISM filtering, and 2.5x the coverage area per AP. If the goal is to cover a campus with fewer access points and deliver enterprise throughput across outdoor distance, this is the purpose-built hardware for that job.
