The Ubiquiti UniFi G6 Pro Dome (UVC-G6-Pro-Dome) is an 8MP dome camera with 2.36x optical zoom, on-board AI processing for person, vehicle, face, and license plate detection, and IK10 vandal-resistant housing rated IP66 for permanent indoor or outdoor installation. The 4K sensor captures 3840 x 2160 at 30 fps through a motorized 5.9 to 13.8mm lens with a 134-degree wide-angle view that narrows to 52 degrees at full telephoto, and 40-meter IR night vision provides clear footage in complete darkness. Everything runs through UniFi Protect with no cloud subscription.
The G6 Pro Dome sits above the G6 Dome in the UniFi Protect camera lineup. It upgrades from a fixed lens to 2.36x optical zoom for identification at greater distances, moves to a larger 1/1.2-inch sensor for improved low-light performance, adds Gigabit Ethernet (vs 10/100 on the G6 Dome), and steps up to PoE+ power with 40-meter IR range (vs 30 meters). It also adds a MicroSD card slot for local edge storage. For deployments where optical zoom and extended range matter, the Pro Dome is the highest-capability dome in the lineup.
