The Ubiquiti UniFi Pro Max 48 PoE (USW-Pro-Max-48-PoE) is a 48-port Layer 3 managed switch with Etherlighting, a 720W PoE budget, 16 ports at 2.5 GbE, and four 10G SFP+ uplinks. It combines PoE+ and PoE++ output on all 48 ports to power everything from standard APs to high-draw devices like PTZ cameras and WiFi 6E access points that require 802.3bt power.
The Pro Max 48 PoE is the flagship switch in the Pro Max line, offering the highest port count and PoE budget with Etherlighting LED indicators for visual port identification. The 16 ports running at 2.5 GbE serve WiFi 6 and WiFi 7 APs without Gigabit bottlenecking. Layer 3 inter-VLAN routing eliminates gateway hairpinning for east-west traffic. DC power backup ready. Managed through UniFi Network 8.0.24 or later.
