The Ubiquiti UniFi Switch 24 PoE (USW-24-POE) is a managed Layer 2 switch with 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports, 16 of which deliver 802.3af/at PoE+ power to UniFi access points, cameras, VoIP phones, or any standard PoE device. Two SFP slots provide Gigabit fiber uplinks to a core switch or gateway. Total PoE budget across the 16 powered ports is 95W.
The 95W budget covers the typical small-office PoE load: 4-6 UniFi WiFi APs at 10-15W each, a couple of PoE cameras, and a VoIP phone or two. If your PoE load exceeds 95W or you need Layer 3 routing, the USW-Pro-24-PoE steps up to 400W and inter-VLAN routing. The USW-24-POE is the right pick when your PoE draw stays modest and you want managed switching at a lower price point.
As part of the UniFi switch lineup, the USW-24-POE is managed from the same UniFi Network console as every other UniFi device in the deployment. VLANs, port-level PoE toggling, spanning tree, IGMP snooping, port mirroring, and storm control are all configurable from the dashboard.

What Is a 24-Port PoE Switch Used For?
A 24-port PoE switch provides network connectivity and electrical power to up to 24 devices over standard Ethernet cables, eliminating separate power adapters and outlet requirements for each device.
