The Yealink USB2CAT5E-EXT (1303109) is a USB-over-Cat5e extender kit that extends USB 2.0 signals up to 40 meters (131 feet) between a sender unit connected to the host system and a receiver unit connected to USB peripherals. The USB2CAT5E-EXT allows conference room integrators to place USB cameras, microphones, speakerphones, and other peripherals anywhere in the room without being limited by standard USB cable length, using readily available Cat5e Ethernet cabling for the long run between sender and receiver.
The kit includes both the sender and receiver units with USB Type-A ports, connected by a single Cat5e cable that can be cut to the exact length required for the installation. The 48V power adapter supplies the receiver unit, while the sender draws power from the host USB port. Compatible with virtually all USB peripherals, the USB2CAT5E-EXT is purpose-built for Yealink video conferencing deployments where the camera, microphone array, or speakerphone needs to be ceiling-mounted or positioned far from the room's compute device.
