Yealink Phones Buying Guide

Yealink makes desk phones, cordless DECT systems, Wi-Fi handsets, and conference phones for business calling. Standard models register to SIP phone systems and calling providers, while Teams and Zoom editions run those platforms right on the phone. To compare other brands, see all of our IP phones.

Yealink Desk Phones by Series

Yealink names its desk phones by series, and each series has its own mix of lines, screens, and features.

T3 series phones are entry desk phones with two or four lines and PoE.

T4 series phones step up to 12 to 16 lines, dual USB ports, and support for a sidecar expansion module.

T5 series phones add screens you can tilt for a better viewing angle. W models in the series have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth built in, and the Android-based T58W can add an optional camera for video calls.

T7 and T8 series phones use a quieter Hall switch handset, with options like large touchscreens, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth handsets that let you step away from the desk during a call.

Teams and Zoom Phones

MP series phones come in Microsoft Teams and Zoom editions that run Android with the platform's interface built in. Some Teams models also support a SIP and Teams hybrid mode. The MP45 is a USB phone instead: it connects to a computer running Teams with a single USB cable and needs no network setup.

Cordless and Wi-Fi Phones

W series DECT systems pair a base station on your network with cordless handsets. One base supports up to 10 handsets, 10 SIP accounts, and 20 simultaneous calls, so you can start small and add handsets later. AX series phones connect over Wi-Fi 6 instead of DECT, with a rugged IP67 model sealed against dust and water.

Conference Phones

CP series conference phones use a microphone array that picks up voices from every direction, up to 20 feet away. The CP925 is designed for small to medium rooms, the CP965 for medium to large rooms with a Teams edition available, and the CP935W runs on a rechargeable battery with an included DECT base, so there are no cables on the table.

Headsets and Add-Ons

Yealink desk phones with EHS support pair with Yealink wireless headsets for hands-free calling. Sidecar expansion modules add programmable keys for speed dial and busy lamp field, and a PoE switch powers PoE desk phones over their network cable.

Yealink Phone FAQs

How do Yealink phones work?

A Yealink desk phone plugs into your network, takes power from a PoE switch or a power adapter, and registers to your phone system or VoIP provider. Once it's set up, it makes and receives calls like any business line.

Do Yealink phones work with Microsoft Teams?

Yes. Yealink's Teams editions, marked Teams in the product title, run Microsoft Teams on the phone itself, and the MP45 USB phone works with Teams running on your computer.

How many handsets can a Yealink DECT base support?

Up to 10. The W70B base included with the W73P and W76P systems supports up to 10 handsets, 10 SIP accounts, and 20 simultaneous calls.
