The PR460X is a quiet, 19-inch rack-mountable metal unit that ships with a rack-mount kit and rubber feet, so it racks up or sits on a desktop as needed, and its default rear-port layout can be reversed with the included rack ears to suit your cabinet. A built-in power supply keeps the wiring simple. On the network side, three multi-gig RJ-45 ports and two WAN ports handle 10GBASE-T, 10GBASE-X, and 2.5GBASE-T links, and an SFP+ slot adds a fiber or DAC option. Once it is in, Netgear Insight gives you a single pane of glass: register, configure, manage, and monitor the router from the Insight mobile app or web portal, with a 4-year Insight Remote Cloud Management subscription included.

What Is a Dual-WAN Router?
A dual-WAN router has two separate internet (WAN) inputs instead of one, so the network can stay online even if a connection fails. On the PR460X, you connect a primary internet link and a second WAN link; if the primary drops, the router automatically fails over to the backup so critical applications and services keep running. It is a common way to add internet redundancy for businesses that cannot afford downtime.
