How It Works
Most of the time the 5P1550G passes utility power through while its Automatic Voltage Regulation corrects sags and surges without switching to battery, which preserves battery life. When the power fails, it moves to its internal battery and supplies true sine wave output rated at 1550VA/1100W. Eaton's ABM battery management uses a three-stage charging cycle to extend battery service life, and a USB and RS-232 serial port with the Intelligent Power software handle graceful shutdowns. A communication slot accepts an optional cybersecure Gigabit network card for remote monitoring and management.
