48-Port Gigabit Ethernet PoE Managed Switch with 4x 10G SFP+ Uplinks, 740W PoE Budget, and SonicWall Firewall Integration for SD-Branch Deployments
The SonicWall SWS14-48FPOE (02-SSC-8383) is a 48-port Gigabit Ethernet managed PoE switch with 4x 10G SFP+ uplink slots and a 740W Power over Ethernet budget for powering access points, IP cameras, VoIP phones, and other 802.3af/at devices directly from the switch. The 10G SFP+ expansion slots provide high-bandwidth uplinks to core switches or SonicWall firewalls, eliminating bottlenecks between the access layer and the rest of the network infrastructure.
Designed for SonicWall SD-Branch environments, the SWS14-48FPOE is managed directly from a SonicWall next-generation firewall or through Wireless Network Manager, providing unified visibility into switching, wireless, and security infrastructure from a single interface. Zero-touch deployment allows administrators to provision switches at remote branch locations without on-site IT staff, while Layer 2 managed features including VLAN segmentation, QoS traffic prioritization, 802.1X authentication, and link aggregation provide the network control and compliance capabilities required for enterprise branch deployments.
Where the SWS14-48FPOE Fits
- SD-Branch and distributed office deployments where 48 PoE ports power access points and IP phones across the branch floor, 10G SFP+ uplinks connect back to the core network or SonicWall firewall without bandwidth constraints, and zero-touch deployment eliminates the need for on-site technical staff during initial provisioning
- High-density PoE environments where the 740W PoE budget supports full 802.3af/at power delivery across all 48 ports simultaneously, powering surveillance cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP endpoints from a single 1U chassis without requiring external PoE injectors or midspans
- Compliance-driven network environments where 802.1X port-based authentication enforces access control at the switch level, VLAN segmentation isolates sensitive traffic for PCI DSS and HIPAA compliance, and centralized management through the SonicWall firewall provides audit-ready visibility into port status and network activity
What the SWS14-48FPOE Delivers
- 48-Port GbE with 740W PoE Budget: 48 Gigabit Ethernet copper ports (10/100/1000Base-T) with 802.3af/at Power over Ethernet and 740W total PoE budget for powering access points, cameras, phones, and other PoE endpoints without external power infrastructure.
- 4x 10G SFP+ Uplink Slots: Four 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ expansion slots for high-speed fiber or copper uplinks to core switches, SonicWall firewalls, or other aggregation infrastructure. Supports link aggregation for increased uplink bandwidth.
- Layer 2 Managed with SonicWall Integration: VLAN segmentation, QoS, 802.1X authentication, link aggregation, and LLDP. Managed through SonicWall firewalls or Wireless Network Manager for unified single-pane-of-glass network visibility and control.
- 1U Rack-Mount Form Factor: Standard 1U rack-mountable chassis (17.3 x 12.2 x 1.7 inches, 10.58 lb) with 120/230V AC power input and 885W maximum consumption. TAA compliant for government procurement.
