Hospital-Grade Backup With Full Isolation
In a patient-care room, backup power has to be safe as well as reliable, with leakage current low enough for equipment near patients. The Tripp Lite by Eaton SMART700HG is a 700VA/450W medical-grade, hospital-grade UPS with a built-in isolation transformer and UL 60601-1 listing. How It Works
The SMART700HG runs connected equipment through a built-in isolation transformer with a Faraday shield, which fully isolates the load, removes common-mode noise, and keeps AC surge suppression active in every mode. Its line-interactive AVR corrects brownouts as low as 81V and surges up to 143V back to 120V without touching the battery. Four hospital-grade NEMA 5-15R-HG outlets and a hospital-grade plug keep leakage current under 100 microamps for patient-care vicinities, and the lead-acid battery is sized for up to 42 minutes at half load.
Highlights
