Outdoor Fiber-to-Ethernet Converter That Delivers Data and PoE Power to Remote Devices Over a Single Fiber Run
The Ubiquiti FiberPoE Gen2 (F-POE-G2) is an outdoor-rated media converter that bridges a fiber optic link to a Gigabit Ethernet port with PoE output. Install it at a remote location where only fiber and DC power are available, and it converts the optical signal to copper Ethernet while simultaneously delivering PoE power to the connected device (camera, AP, or radio) from a local DC source.
The FiberPoE solves the problem of powering and connecting remote devices at distances beyond copper Ethernet limits (100m). Run fiber from the building to the remote location, provide DC power locally (solar, battery, or a short AC run), and the F-POE-G2 handles the conversion and PoE delivery in a weatherproof outdoor enclosure with integrated strain relief.

What the F-POE-G2 Delivers
- Fiber-to-Ethernet conversion: One SFP slot accepts any Gigabit SFP module (single-mode or multi-mode). Converts the optical signal to 1000Base-T Ethernet on the RJ45 port.
- PoE output on RJ45: The PoE port delivers power to the connected device from the local DC power input. Connect a camera, AP, or radio and it receives both data and power through a single Ethernet cable from the FiberPoE.
- Outdoor weatherproof housing: Purpose-built for outdoor mounting with integrated strain relief for fiber and Ethernet cables. Handles temperature extremes, rain, and UV exposure at remote mounting locations.
- DC powered: Accepts external DC power input. Pair with a local power supply, solar panel with battery, or short AC run to a nearby outlet. No AC required at the fiber termination point.
