Lightweight 5 GHz Sector AP with GPS Synchronization for Scalable Multi-Sector Deployments
The Ubiquiti LiteAP AC GPS (LAP-GPS) is a 5 GHz sector access point with built-in GPS synchronization for co-located multi-sector tower deployments. GPS sync enables multiple LAP-GPS units on the same tower to transmit and receive in coordinated time slots, eliminating self-interference between sectors and allowing tighter frequency reuse. The integrated 17 dBi 2x2 MIMO antenna delivers up to 450+ Mbps real throughput with airMAX ac protocol across its sector coverage area.
The LAP-GPS adds GPS sync and a dedicated Wi-Fi management radio on top of the LAP-120's core airMAX ac capabilities. The management radio connects to the UNMS mobile app for quick field setup from a phone, and GPS sync makes the LAP-GPS the right choice for towers with multiple co-located sectors. For single-sector or isolated deployments where GPS sync is unnecessary, the LAP-120 provides the same airMAX ac performance at a lower price point.

What the LAP-GPS Delivers
- GPS synchronization for co-located sectors: Precise GPS frame timing lets multiple LAP-GPS units on the same tower transmit and receive without interfering with each other. Enables tighter frequency reuse and more stable multi-sector performance.
- 17 dBi integrated 2x2 MIMO antenna: Built-in sector antenna with 17 dBi of gain. No separate antenna, RF cables, or mounting hardware needed. The radio and antenna ship as a single optimized unit.
- airMAX ac protocol, 450+ Mbps throughput: airOS 8 with TDMA scheduling. Selectable channel widths from 10 to 80 MHz on PtP links and 10 to 40 MHz on PtMP. Communicates with all airMAX ac CPE devices.
- Dedicated Wi-Fi management radio: Separate radio for mobile app setup via UNMS. Configure the AP from a phone in the field without needing a laptop or wired connection to the management interface.
- 24V PoE powered, lightweight pole mount: Ships with a 24V PoE adapter. At 1.66 lb, the LAP-GPS adds minimal wind load to any pole or mast, with a quick-attach mounting system for fast installation.
