Control Eight Servers From Anywhere on the Network
Reboot a hung server, watch it POST, and push an OS patch without walking to the data center. The Vertiv Avocent AV3108-400 is an 8-port KVM over IP switch that gives one local and one remote user full keyboard, video, and mouse control of eight servers, right down to the BIOS. How It Works
The AV3108-400 connects to up to eight servers through intelligent Cat5 cabling and presents them on a single console or over the network. A local user works at the attached VGA display and USB peripherals, while a remote user connects over IP from anywhere with full BIOS-level control at up to 1920 x 1080. Virtual media mounts remote drives for out-of-band file transfers and OS patch deployment, and session sharing lets several people view the same session for diagnostics.
