Rack It or Stand It, and Ride Out the Sags Either Way
A network closet holding two switches, a small server and a point-of-sale controller does not need a data center UPS. It needs a few hundred watts of clean backup that fits whichever way the closet actually allows. Deployment Notes
Most of what a small closet sees is not a blackout but a sag or a swell, and the automatic voltage regulation handles those without touching the battery: the unit accepts anything from 75 to 146 volts on the input and holds the output steady, transferring in 6 milliseconds only when it genuinely has to. Output is pure sine wave rather than a stepped approximation, which is what sensitive power supplies expect. All six NEMA 5-15R receptacles sit on battery and surge protection, fed from a standard NEMA 5-15 input, and the battery is hot-swappable with a four-hour typical recharge, so a cell change does not mean dropping the load. Physically it takes 2U of rack or stands on the included tower feet, and an LCD plus an RJ-45 port cover local status and network connection.
