Yealink Phones Buying Guide

Yealink phones cover every spot in a business, from a simple desk phone at the front counter to cordless handsets on the warehouse floor and a conference phone in the meeting room. Standard models register to SIP phone systems and VoIP providers, while Teams and Zoom editions run those platforms right on the phone. To compare other brands, see all IP phones.

Which Yealink Phone Is Best for Your Business?

Front desks and light use: T3 series phones keep it simple with two or four lines and PoE, so one network cable powers the phone. The Yealink T33G adds a color screen and Gigabit ports, which matters when a computer connects to the network through the phone.

Busy office desks: T4 and T5 series phones step up to bigger color screens, more programmable keys, and support for sidecar expansion modules, a good fit for receptionists who keep an eye on coworkers' lines. The Yealink T46U handles up to 16 SIP accounts on a 4.3 inch color screen, with two USB ports for a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth dongle or a USB headset.

Managers and power users: Top T5 models add 7 inch touchscreens with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth built in, and Pro versions include a Bluetooth handset you can carry away from the desk during a call.

SIP Phones vs Teams and Zoom Phones

Yealink's SIP-T desk phones and W series cordless systems are open SIP phones, so they register to hosted VoIP providers and IP PBX systems. Android-based MP series desk phones come in Microsoft Teams and Zoom editions with the platform's interface built in, so order the edition that matches your calling app. For Teams users who work from a computer, Yealink's USB Teams phone plugs into the PC, takes its power over the same cable, and opens Teams with a dedicated button.

Yealink Cordless and Wi-Fi Phones

In a W series DECT system, the base station sits on your network and talks to the cordless handsets. DECT runs on its own radio band, apart from your Wi-Fi, and one base supports up to 10 handsets and 20 simultaneous calls, so you can start with a few handsets and add more as the team grows. AX series phones connect over Wi-Fi 6 instead, which suits sites with strong Wi-Fi coverage, and a rugged IP67 model stands up to dust and water.

Conference Phones

CP series conference phones pick up voices from all around the table, up to 20 feet away. Choose a wired model for a fixed meeting room, or the battery-powered wireless model with its own DECT base for a table with no cables.

Headsets and PoE for Yealink Phones

Yealink WH wireless headsets connect to a desk phone through their base, with a phone cable or an optional EHS adapter, so you can take calls away from the desk. Browse Yealink headsets. A PoE switch powers PoE phones over their network cables, up to the switch's power budget. For video bars and room systems, browse all Yealink.

Yealink Phone FAQs

How do I set up my Yealink phone?

Plug it into your network, using a PoE switch or a power adapter, and it picks up an IP address. Then register it to your phone system: your VoIP provider can set it up automatically, or you can enter the account details in the phone's web interface by typing its IP address into a browser.

Do Yealink phones work with Microsoft Teams?

Yes. Yealink's Teams editions, marked Teams in the product title, run Microsoft Teams on the phone itself, and the USB Teams phone works with Teams running on your computer.

How many handsets can a Yealink DECT base support?

Up to 10. The base in Yealink's W series DECT systems supports up to 10 handsets, 10 SIP accounts, and 20 simultaneous calls.
