The StarTech 22-Inch Monitor Privacy Screen (2269-PRIVACY-SCREEN) is a reversible privacy filter for 22-inch 16:9 widescreen monitors that limits the viewing angle to 60 degrees (+/- 30 degrees from center), blocks 51% of blue light in the 380-480nm range, and provides anti-glare protection with scratch-resistant and fingerprint-resistant coatings. Installs with residue-free adhesive strips or side mounting tabs.
The privacy filter darkens the screen from side angles while maintaining a clear view directly in front. The 60-degree viewing angle (+/- 30 degrees from center) blocks visual eavesdropping from adjacent workstations, shared offices, and public-facing environments. The 57.5% light transmittance maintains usable screen brightness while the privacy layer is in place.
The reversible design provides a matte anti-glare surface on one side and a high-gloss surface on the other. The matte side reduces reflections in bright environments and adds fingerprint-resistant and scratch-resistant coatings. The glossy side preserves full color vibrancy when glare is not a concern. A corner cutout makes it easy to remove the filter for sharing content or switching surfaces.
