25 Gbps Passive Copper DAC for Short Switch-to-Switch Connections
The Ubiquiti UACC-DAC-SFP28-0.5M is a 0.5-meter (1.6-foot) passive copper direct attach cable with SFP28 connectors on both ends, rated for 25 Gbps throughput. It plugs directly into SFP28 slots on UniFi switches for a low-latency, low-power connection between two devices mounted in the same rack or adjacent racks without the cost of separate transceivers and fiber.
DAC cables are the simplest way to connect two SFP28-equipped switches when the distance is under a meter. No transceivers to buy, no fiber to terminate, no optical alignment. The passive copper design uses less power and adds less latency than an active optical connection, which matters in aggregation layers where every link counts.
