Outdoor Ethernet Surge Protection for 10 GbE Links Exposed to Lightning and ESD
The Ubiquiti UACC-ETH-SP-Pro is an outdoor-rated Ethernet surge protector that shields network equipment from lightning-induced surges and electrostatic discharge up to 20kA. Two passive RJ45 ports pass Ethernet data (compatible with speeds up to 10 GbE) while clamping transient voltage spikes before they reach the connected device. IPX5 weatherproofing means it mounts inline on outdoor cable runs without an enclosure.
Every outdoor Ethernet run between buildings, across rooftops, or up poles is exposed to indirect lightning strikes and static buildup. A single surge event destroys the Ethernet port on a switch, AP, or camera. The SP-Pro installs inline on the cable at the building entry point, grounding the surge before it enters the equipment. It costs a fraction of replacing a fried access point or switch port.
