Extend Gigabit Ethernet and PoE Up to 1 km Over Existing Cat5e/6 Cabling
The Ubiquiti UACC-LRE is a long-range Ethernet repeater that extends Gigabit connectivity and PoE passthrough up to 1,000 meters (3,280 ft) using existing Category 5e, 6, or 6A cabling. It takes PoE input from your switch and passes both data and power to a downstream device at the far end, eliminating the need for new cable runs or local power sources at remote network endpoints.
Standard Ethernet is limited to 100 meters per segment. The UACC-LRE breaks that barrier by acting as a mid-span repeater, placed at an intermediate point in the cable run to regenerate the signal and extend reach. Multiple units can be daisy-chained for even longer runs. No configuration, no software, no IP address required. Plug it in and the link extends.
Where the UACC-LRE Fits
- Remote camera and AP installations where the device is more than 100 meters from the nearest switch and running fiber or installing a remote switch is not practical or cost-effective
- Legacy cabling infrastructure where existing Cat5e runs already reach the endpoint but exceed Ethernet distance limits, and pulling new cable through walls or conduit is not feasible
