Gigabit Connectivity Between Two Buildings — No Trenching, No Fiber
The Ubiquiti UniFi Building Bridge (UBB) links two networks over a clear line-of-sight path at distances up to 500 meters (1,640 ft). Instead of pulling conduit across a parking lot or paying for a leased circuit, you mount a radio on each roofline, aim them at each other, and adopt them in UniFi Network. The 60 GHz link carries up to 1.7 Gbps bi-directional throughput — enough to extend a full gigabit LAN across a campus, warehouse yard, or apartment complex.
60 GHz Primary, 5 GHz Backup
The 60 GHz band is nearly free of interference in most environments, which is what makes the throughput possible. It's also more sensitive to heavy rain than lower bands, so each UBB carries an independent 5 GHz 802.11ac radio that takes over automatically if the primary link degrades. Your uplink stays alive through the weather instead of dropping until the storm passes.
Aim It Without a Spectrum Analyzer
An onboard LED signal indicator shows link quality as you adjust the ball-joint mount, so a single installer can align the dish by eye. Most links are up and passing traffic within minutes of mounting. The 2-pack kit arrives already paired from the factory.
Managed Inside UniFi
The UBB adopts into your existing UniFi Network setup alongside your switches and access points — same dashboard, same topology map, same firmware workflow. Manage it from a UniFi Console, Official UniFi Hosting, or a self-hosted UniFi Network Server. Link security is WPA2-AES, always on.
Built for the Roof
IPX6 weatherproof housing, an operating range of -40 to 60 °C, and wall or pole mounting hardware in the box. Powered over Ethernet from the included 48V Gigabit PoE adapter, so the only cable running up to the radio is a single Cat5e/Cat6 line.
Common Applications
- Connecting a warehouse, shop, or outbuilding to the main office network
- School campus building-to-building links
- Extending a network across a road or parking lot where trenching isn't practical
- Temporary or leased sites where permanent fiber can't be justified
- Backhaul for rooftop cameras or outdoor AP clusters
