The Ubiquiti UniFi AI Theta Pro is a modular camera system that pairs an 8MP (4K) AI-powered camera lens with the AI Theta Hub processing unit. The modular design separates the lens from the compute hub, allowing different lenses (wide-angle or long-distance) to connect to the same hub depending on the deployment scenario. On-board AI handles face detection, license plate recognition, and object classification without relying on NVR processing power.
The AI Theta platform differs from fixed UniFi Protect cameras by splitting the lens and processing into separate modules. Mount the compact lens where the viewing angle is needed, connect it to the hub (which can be concealed elsewhere), and swap lenses later if coverage requirements change. The 2160 x 2160 resolution at 4K delivers high-detail footage for identification and forensic review.

- Modular lens + hub architecture: The camera lens and processing hub are separate units. Mount the lens at the observation point, place the hub where connectivity and power are convenient, and swap lenses as coverage needs change.
- On-board AI analytics: Face detection, license plate recognition, and person/vehicle classification run on the hub processor. Events are tagged and searchable in UniFi Protect without consuming NVR CPU cycles.
- Weather resistant, wide operating range: Rated for outdoor deployment from -4°F to 104°F (-20°C to 40°C). Mount the lens outdoors while keeping the hub in a protected enclosure if needed.
- PoE powered, 12.5W: The hub powers over a single Ethernet cable (PoE) and connects the lens module. No separate power adapter at the camera location.
