1,000-Foot Cat6 UTP Riser Cable with Solid Copper Conductors and Anti-Crosstalk Divider
The Ubiquiti U-Cable-C6-CMR is a 1,000-foot (305 m) spool of Category 6 UTP cable with 23 AWG solid copper conductors and a built-in anti-crosstalk divider. CMR (Communications Multipurpose Cable, Riser) rated with a fire-resistant PVC jacket, this cable is approved for vertical runs between floors and through riser shafts. Supports Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) for structured network cabling in commercial and residential installations.
The solid copper conductors and internal crosstalk divider provide clean signal integrity across the full 100-meter channel length specified by Cat6 standards. Unlike cables with copper-clad aluminum (CCA) conductors, the solid copper construction in the U-Cable-C6-CMR delivers reliable PoE power alongside data and maintains consistent performance in permanent structured cabling installations. The white jacket keeps cable runs visually clean in exposed and open-ceiling environments.
Where the U-Cable-C6-CMR Fits
- Riser and vertical cable runs where building code requires CMR-rated cable for runs between floors, through elevator shafts, and in vertical riser conduits
- Full-building structured cabling where the 1,000-foot spool provides enough cable to wire multiple drops from a patch panel to wall jacks throughout a floor or building
- PoE device installations where solid copper conductors safely carry PoE power to access points, cameras, and phones while maintaining Gigabit data throughput on the same cable
What the U-Cable-C6-CMR Delivers
- Cat6, Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T): Full Category 6 performance supporting Gigabit Ethernet with headroom for higher-speed protocols. Backwards compatible with Cat5e applications.
- 23 AWG solid copper conductors: Pure copper construction provides reliable data transmission and safe PoE power delivery. No copper-clad aluminum (CCA) compromises.
- Anti-crosstalk divider: Internal separator isolates the four twisted pairs from each other, reducing near-end crosstalk (NEXT) and maintaining signal integrity at the full Cat6 specification.
- CMR riser rated, fire-resistant jacket: Meets CMR fire safety requirements for vertical cable runs. White PVC jacket provides fire resistance for riser shaft and between-floor installations.
- 1,000 ft (305 m) spool: Bulk packaging for structured cabling projects. Cut to length on site for each individual cable run from the distribution point.
Riser vs Plenum Cable: CMR vs CMP
CMR (Riser) cable like the U-Cable-C6-CMR is rated for vertical runs between floors where fire could spread upward through cable shafts. CMP (Plenum) cable carries a higher fire rating for installation in air-handling spaces above drop ceilings and in HVAC plenums where the cable is exposed to airflow. If your cable runs pass through air-handling spaces, building code requires CMP plenum-rated cable. For standard wall runs and vertical risers that do not enter plenum spaces, CMR riser-rated cable meets code requirements at a lower cost per foot.
