The Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Machine (UDM) combines a WiFi 5 802.11ac 4x4 Wave 2 access point, a 4-port Gigabit switch, an advanced security gateway with IDS/IPS, and the UniFi Network controller in a single desktop device. It provides everything needed to run a small wired and wireless network without separate appliances for routing, switching, wireless, and management.
The UDM targets homes, small offices, and branch locations that want the full UniFi software experience without deploying a Cloud Key, separate AP, switch, and router. A 1.7 GHz quad-core processor handles routing, deep packet inspection, intrusion detection, and wireless service simultaneously. The network is scalable by connecting additional UniFi APs and switches to the LAN ports. Managed through the built-in UniFi Network interface or mobile app.
